Desperate to Survive?
"Desperate to Survive" is the name of the theme song to Sleep Away Camp II. It is by a band called Obsession. According to Google there are no immediately interesting facts that I can copy and paste about them here.
"Fucked if I know..."
Instead have some lyrics.
(note: this will change your life)
"I am shadowed…by what seems to be the end
Aware…my hopes will only pretend
To silence…the voices I hear calling me
And forcing me to face the truths to be…
I refuse to accept my fate and not believe
There’s no escape… I’m desperate to survive
For I’m alone…and a captive of my past
Solitude…my penance is cast
For vicious memories, taunt my piece of mind
I feel helpless and despair, a victim of time
I just have to stay alive…there’s nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide…I’m desperate to survive
Will time stand still for me…I’m desperate to survive
I can’t take this torment
I can’t take the thought I have to stay
Forever inside my terror
There lives all the sins I must repay
I’m trapped by suffering, so tragic
I can’t take this pain
So lost in my sorrow, so endless
It’s too hard to maintain
I’m desperate to survive…will time
Stand still for me…I’m desperate to survive"
I can't help but think, listening to this song again, that it was written especially for me. I was just saying yesterday that my endless sorrow is getting out of hand, maintenance wise.

SEX...AND DANGER?

BITCH
IN
HOT
WATER
BOOTS. Boots was her trademark. Boots was the name she chose for herself. Boots were her good-luck charm...and her evil omen.
BOOTS. It was not her real name, of course. She had lots of names: Janie Callaghan, Boots Calhoon, Mrs. Paul Warwick...and others. None of them fitted exactly...but each labeled one facet of her complicated personality.
BOOTS. A bitch on wheels...headed for fame and riches as a top nightclub and TV personality...or headed for Hell in a handbasket of her making.
This is the story of BOOTS - and the many men and women she used...and ruined...along her perilous path to the top - or the bottom. There was nothing she wouldn't do. Murder was the least of her sins. The only question was: which sin would finally catch up with her?

Torso
Torso
Torso!
This 1973 nasty comes from Italian sleaze mastermind, Sergio Martino, director of such classics as Mountain of the Cannibal God, Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key and Mannaja: A Man Called Blade.
Very straightforward gialo fare, but as I always say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" A man in a ski mask goes after several young girls, but the killer is someone you know! I especially enjoy the way these Italians imagined American hippies to be. Enough cheezy sex and bright red blood to keep a viewer interested.
Torso is a solid C+

Pick Your Victim by Pat McGerr 1946
"The weapon's easy. It says here in the clipping that the victim was strangled by a brown woolen scarf."
"Man's or woman's?" asked Charlie Carter eagerly.
"It doesn't say."
"God damn it," Charlie growled. "Why don't newspapers get the facts? That's an important clue. Of course, if it was a man's scarf, it might have belonged to Stetson. But if it was a woman's, I'd be willing to be that he murdered Bertha or Anne or Loretta."
"Very high-powered deduction," commented Joe without enthusiasm.
